专业研究领域：1、通过交叉学科研究手段，包括分子遗传、结构生物学、生物化学与天然产物化学，解析丝状真菌中结构独特的化合物生物合成途径和酶学机制，鉴定特殊/新颖功能生物酶。2、针对特殊生境微生物（极地真菌、植物内生真菌），利用基因挖掘策略，通过表观遗传/靶向操纵途径调控因子/共培养，从而激活沉默基因簇，发现常规实验条件下难以合成的新结构活性化合物。
